Tango Women’s Cocktail in Buenos Aires at La Maleva!
If you happen to be in Buenos Aires this November, this event should be a MUST.
We, as a group of professional women dancers and teachers, keep feeling there’s still a profound lack of body awareness among tango dancers. So we thought about sharing our ideas between us and our students in a different way. We created this 3 weeks intense workshops to develop ourselves, exchange information and improve our skills!
The main idea of these workshops is to find ourselves feeling better with our partners throughout images and examples. Assimilation of elements and principles of language will be the heart of the work. We are seeking the ideal place where we can develop our creativity to be sensitive enough with the music, our priority!
Mariana Dragone: Owner and founder of La Maleva Studio, the place where the seminars will take place. Mariana was the cover of El Tangauta magazine last month! She’s one of the most prestigious dancers and teachers nowadays. Beautiful, active, expressive, Mariana is an inspiration!
Eugenia Parrilla: Eugenia’s distinctive talent and her long career have made her one of the most admired and inspiring dancers in the world of tango. She combines her profound understanding with her own sensuality and daring expressivity. Continuous investigations into the many disciplines of movement, including a certification in the Gyrotonic system, provide her with a consciousness of the mechanics of the human body. This allows her to constantly refine her teaching and innovate her dancing.
Corina Herrera: Corina has taught and performed at countless international festivals. She has worked in many schools in Buenos Aires, and travelled the world teaching and performing. She has worked with top-level dancers. In her teaching, Corina focuses on various sensations in tango, and encourages and helps her students to gain the freedom of choosing the way they dance and understanding the differences.
Ines Muzzopappa: Inés was World Champion of Tango Salon in 2007. Since then, she didn’t stop working in the most crowded festivals in the world. She is pure passion plus beautiful technique, and she’s one of the favorite dancers for most men!
At the moment she’s living in Buenos Aires, where she’s teaching and co-organizing Bendita Milonga.
Cecilia Berra: Cecilia formed herself in different disciplines such as dance, circus, contact improvisation. She currently resides in Barcelona where she is a Teacher and Organizer of Aquelarre Tango. She has also participated in several International Tango Festivals around the world. Cecilia’s style is a definition of herself: energy, kindness but down to earth!
Cecilia Piccinni: Cecilia used to be a permanent teacher of Tango Brujo school in Buenos Aires. She studied contemporary dance, contact improvisation, jazz and nowadays is going deeper into Yoga. She’s constantly experimenting, exploring, learning, discovering and rediscovering things. She has performed in several milongas in Buenos Aires and also worked in workshops and festivals around the world. Her unique style is well recognized no matter which partner she’s dancing with!
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the best, Buenos Aires in November is the the place to be!
